BERLIN, May 8 (Xinhua) -- German police on Friday deployed a large number of officers to respond to a suspected hostage situation at a bank in Ahrweiler near the town of Sinzig in western Germany, after receiving an emergency call at around 9 a.m. local time (0700 GMT), according to local media.
