BEIJING, May 10 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 jolted near coast of central Chile at 0234 GMT on Sunday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 37.70 degrees south latitude and 73.19 degrees west longitude.
