Indonesia to deploy over 740 peacekeepers to Lebanon in May

JAKARTA, May 12 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia is set to deploy more than 740 National Armed Forces personnel to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon later this month, local media reported on Tuesday.

Addressing the troops during a coordination meeting on Monday, Foreign Minister Sugiono urged them to carry out their duties with professionalism and dedication in the high-risk mission area.
The deployment is intended to rotate and replace Indonesian peacekeeping troops currently serving in Lebanon, local media reported.
