MOSCOW, May 13 (Xinhua) -- A drone attack on a gas processing plant in Russia's Astrakhan Region was repelled, governor Igor Babushkin announced on Wednesday.

All drones involved in the attack were shot down or neutralized by electronic warfare, Babushkin said on his social media channel, adding that the debris sparked a fire, which was extinguished within hours.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Russia's on-duty air defense systems shot down 312 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions overnight, including the Moscow Region.
