MANILA, May 13 (Xinhua) -- Philippine President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos on Wednesday said that the government did not order Senator Ronald Dela Rosa's arrest, vowing to identify those who tried to enter the Senate complex, according to local media reports.

Gunshots rang out inside the Philippine Senate complex on Wednesday night, triggering chaos and confusion inside the building. The situation later calmed down, according to Senate officials.
