KIEV, June 16 (Xinhua) -- A Su-24M frontline bomber of the 7th Petro Franko Tactical Aviation Brigade crashed on Tuesday in western Ukraine, killing two pilots, the Ukrainian Air Force said.

The aircraft went down at around 7 p.m. local time while carrying out a mission in the Khmelnytskyi region, the military said in a statement.
According to preliminary information, no civilian casualties were reported.
Rescue workers and law enforcement officers are working at the crash site. The cause and the circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
