YANGON, June 22 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed and four others were injured in a collision involving two express buses on Myanmar's Yangon-Mandalay highway early Monday, an official from the highway police force told Xinhua.

The accident occurred at around 3:00 a.m. local time when one express bus crashed into the rear of another express bus, he said.

The crash occurred when a bus stopped on the highway, and the bus traveling behind was unable to avoid it and crashed into its rear, he added.

The injured were taken to Pyu Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, he said.
