JAKARTA, June 30 (Xinhua) -- Belarus has requested Indonesia to supply 120,000 tons of cocoa and 14,000 tons of crude palm oil annually, Indonesian Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman said on Tuesday.

The trade opportunities were discussed during a bilateral meeting held in Jakarta.

The minister told reporters after the meeting that the strong demand presented an opportunity for Indonesia to expand its export markets, as the country has been accelerating large-scale cocoa-planting programs across various regions to boost production.

Beyond commodity trade, the two nations also discussed potential cooperation in agricultural development, particularly in farm mechanization and agricultural machinery, an area of expertise for Belarus.
