Trump says to reinstate blockade on Iran

WASHINGTON, July 13 (Xinhua) -- The United States is reinstating the "Iranian blockade," preventing Iranian ships from entering or leaving, U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump also claimed that the United States would serve as the "guardian" of the Strait of Hormuz and impose a 20-percent charge on all cargo shipped through the waterway, calling it "a matter of fairness."
