BEIJING, July 14 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 jolted central Peru at 0821 GMT on Tuesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 103.2 km, was initially determined to be at 14.57 degrees south latitude and 71.36 degrees west longitude.
