TEHRAN, July 21 (Xinhua) -- A U.S. Air Force refueling aircraft that was flying over the Persian Gulf squawked 7700 emergency signal near Iran's airspace on Tuesday, the semi-official Fars news agency reported.

The report said the U.S. aircraft had taken off from the Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates.
