KABUL, July 29 (Xinhua) - Three water supply networks have been put into operation in western Afghanistan's Ghor province, the provincial government office said on Wednesday.

The projects were implemented by the provincial Department of Rural Rehabilitation as part of ongoing efforts to improve access to safe drinking water and basic public services in rural areas, the statement said.

According to the office, the newly completed water supply networks will provide clean drinking water to 575 families, helping improve public health, sanitation and living conditions for residents.

The projects are expected to ease water shortages, reduce the time and efforts required to collect water, and enhance access to safe and reliable drinking water for local communities.
