HANOI, July 30 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports exceeded 4.7 billion U.S. dollars in the first seven months of the year, an increase of 23 percent year on year, the Vietnam News Agency reported Thursday, citing the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association.

July exports topped 1 billion U.S. dollars for the first time, surging 38 percent from a year earlier and 13 percent from June, according to the report.
The country's fruit and vegetable imports totaled more than 1.8 billion U.S. dollars in the January-July period, rising 27 percent against the same time last year.
Vietnam eyes 10 billion U.S. dollars in fruit and vegetable export revenue this year, according to the news agency.
