ISLAMABAD, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan supports all efforts aimed at resolving the Strait of Hormuz crisis, believing that easing tensions would help create conditions conducive to the United States and Iran returning to the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), according to the Foreign Office.

Speaking at the weekly press briefing in Islamabad, Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi said the resolution of the standoff in the Strait of Hormuz would "obviously create a conducive environment for parties to return to the Islamabad MoU," reaffirming Pakistan's support for dialogue and peaceful resolution of regional disputes.
