BEIJING, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 jolted central Peru at 1857 GMT on Thursday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 12.10 degrees south latitude and 75.36 degrees west longitude.
