ISLAMABAD, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- Workers' remittances sent by overseas Pakistanis reached 3.6 billion U.S. dollars in July 2026, rising 13 percent year on year and 4.5 percent month on month, the State Bank of Pakistan said on Monday.

According to the central bank's latest data, Saudi Arabia remained the largest source of remittances during the month, contributing 913.9 million dollars.
The United Arab Emirates followed with 737.3 million dollars, while the United Kingdom and the United States contributed 555.5 million dollars and 317.2 million dollars, respectively.
The increase in remittances comes as Pakistan continues to rely on inflows from its overseas workforce to support foreign exchange reserves and the country's external account.
