Seven people were injured after a bus and a trailer truck collided in Tokyo on Wednesday, local media reported.

The accident happened at around 6 p.m. local time in Shinkiba, Koto Ward, according to public broadcaster NHK.

Footage aired by NHK showed the bus ending up on the median strip in the middle of the road following the collision, while about 10 ambulances were dispatched to the scene.

The report said all seven people were conscious at the time, but further details about their injuries were not immediately available. Police are investigating the exact cause of the accident.
