HONG KONG, Aug. 24 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 jolted Banda Sea at 1410 GMT on Monday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 6.80 degrees south latitude and 127.47 degrees east longitude.
