KABUL, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- Three were killed and three others sustained injuries after a car veered off the road in eastern Afghanistan's Logar province on Wednesday, provincial police spokesman Mawlawi Ahmadullah Anas said Thursday.

Blaming reckless driving for the deadly mishap that occurred outside provincial capital Pul-e-Alam, the official added that those killed included a mother and two of her children, while the injured were also members of the same family, some of whom were in critical condition.
