KATHMANDU, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- As many as 934 people associated with 11 hydropower projects affected by the devastating floods in Nepal have remained out of contact, a representative body of Nepal's private-sector power developers said.

The Independent Power Producers' Association, Nepal said on Friday that 730 people associated with six hydropower projects in Rasuwa district and 204 associated with five projects in Nuwakot district have remained out of contact since the devastating floods on Wednesday, which caused substantial damage to the projects.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority said 579 bodies have been recovered, while 1,924 people are out of contact as of Friday evening.
