Chinese relief supplies, experts arrive in Nepal

Kathmandu(People's Daily)Chinese relief supplies and experts arrived in Nepal by air on Sunday morning as part of China's assistance efforts following Wednesday's deadly mudslide.

At around 7 am local time on August 30, two Y-20 transport aircraft of the People's Liberation Army Air Force landed at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, delivering 13,200 emergency relief items, including tents, blankets, rations, sleeping bags and first-aid kits. Four Chinese tunnel rescue experts arrived on the same flight.

Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Zhang Maoming and Nepal's Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation Mahabir Pun attended the handover ceremony at the airport.
