Local sources and eyewitnesses said an Israeli drone fired a missile at the entrance of a residential building near the Municipal Park in central Gaza City. Palestinian medical sources told Xinhua that at least two people were killed and several others injured in the attack.

The Israeli military did not immediately comment on the attack. Israel's Channel 12, citing security sources, reported that the strike targeted a deputy commander of a Hamas company.

Meanwhile, six Palestinians, including a boy and a girl, were injured by Israeli army fire in various parts of the Gaza Strip, while five fishermen were also injured by Israeli naval fire while working off the coast of Gaza City.

Gaza-based health authorities said in their daily update that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received two bodies and treated 10 wounded people over the past 24 hours.

The update said the death toll in Gaza has risen to 1,320 since the ceasefire took effect in October 2025, while the number of wounded reached 4,385. The total death toll since the outbreak of the conflict on Oct. 7, 2023, has reached 73,456, with 174,496 people wounded.

Separately, Israeli authorities demolished four residential buildings in the West Bank cities of Nablus and Ramallah on Monday, according to Palestinian sources.

In July, Israeli authorities carried out 70 demolitions in the West Bank, affecting 155 Palestinian structures, including 39 inhabited homes and 99 agricultural facilities, according to the Palestinian Liberation Organization's Commission against the Wall and Settlements.
