The Grand Egyptian Museum near the Giza pyramids houses thousands of ancient Egyptian artefacts spanning thousands of years of history.

The museum brings together major collections previously held in storage and features dedicated galleries for King Tutankhamun's treasures. It also serves as a means for the conservation and restoration of Egypt's ancient heritage.
