Security forces kill 21 terrorists in NW Pakistan operations

ISLAMABAD, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's security forces killed 21 terrorists in multiple engagements in the country's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province from Sept. 3 to 5, the military said on Sunday.

The Inter-Services Public Relations, the media wing of the Pakistani military, said that the terrorists were killed in separate operations in North Waziristan, Kohat and Dera Ismail Khan districts.

The military said sanitization operations were underway to eliminate any remaining threats in the areas.
