Myanmar's Yangon Port receives 457 container vessels in 1st 8 months of 2026
YANGON, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar's Yangon Port received 457 container vessels in the first eight months of 2026, the Global New Light of Myanmar reported on Thursday, citing the Myanmar Port Authority.

The port handled 55 container vessels in August, with the highest monthly figure of 63 in January, the report said. A total of 61 vessels are scheduled to arrive at the port in September, it added.
Yangon Port handled 728 container vessels in 2025, up from 633 in 2024 and 629 in 2023, according to the report.
As one of Myanmar's major international ports, Yangon Port handles more than 90 percent of the country's regular exports and imports. The port comprises the Yangon Inner Harbour and the Thilawa Outer Harbour, with a total of 48 berths.
