4 Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrike in N. Gaza

GAZA, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Four Palestinians from the same family were killed Thursday in an Israeli airstrike in the northern Gaza Strip, according to local and Palestinian medical sources.

Local sources reported that Israeli warplanes fired a missile at the home of the family in the Beit Lahia area of northern Gaza, destroying it.

Medical sources told Xinhua that rescue teams recovered the bodies of four people from under the rubble of the house, which was targeted without warning.

The sources identified the victims as the father, Abdul Rahman Ahmed, his wife, Hanin Musa Saleh, and their two daughters. Their bodies were taken to Al-Shifa Medical Complex.

Meanwhile, Israeli artillery shelled the Jabalia refugee camp and the Beit Lahia area in northern Gaza.

The Israeli army has not yet commented on these developments.

Since a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas came into effect in October 2025, Israeli attacks have killed 1,358 Palestinians and injured 4,541 others, according to Gaza-based health authorities.

This brings the total number of Palestinians killed since Oct. 7, 2023, to 73,669, and the number of wounded to 174,652.
