2 critical, 1 seriously injured after northwest Melbourne stabbing

MELBOURNE, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- Three males have been hospitalized, including two with critical injuries, following a stabbing in Melbourne's northwest suburbs.

Police said on Monday that the three males attended a location in the suburb of St Albans, 17 km northwest of central Melbourne, to make a marketplace exchange shortly before 1:20 p.m. on Sunday, when a physical altercation occurred.

All three sustained stab wounds.

A 17-year-old and a man in his 20s were both hospitalized with critical injuries.

The third male, aged 23, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police said that detectives have commenced an investigation and are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
