Several injured in multi-vehicle crash in Japan's Kobe

TOKYO, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) -- A crash involving ten vehicles, including two trailer trucks, occurred Thursday afternoon in Kobe, western Japan's Hyogo Prefecture, leaving several people injured, local media reported.

A man in his 50s was taken to the hospital after being trapped inside a car, while several others sustained minor injuries, public broadcaster NHK reported, citing police and firefighters.

Emergency services were called at around 3 p.m. local time following the accident. Police and other authorities are investigating the details of the accident and working to confirm the number and severity of injuries.
