Addressing an international counter-terrorism conference in Islamabad, Dar highlighted Pakistan's efforts to strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation. The Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) organized the event.

He noted that Pakistan chaired the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation's Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (SCO-RATS) during 2025–2026 and used the platform to advance regional anti-terrorism initiatives.

Dar warned that terrorist groups are increasingly exploiting social media, encrypted platforms, cryptocurrencies, drones and artificial intelligence.

"No state or society can combat these challenges alone," he said, calling for greater sharing of technology, intelligence and experience.

Also addressing the conference, Pakistan's Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said a peaceful, stable Afghanistan would strengthen trade with Central Asia, encourage foreign investment and expand regional cooperation and connectivity.
