COLOMBO, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- Sri Lanka's power transmission system has been fully restored following a nationwide outage earlier on Saturday, the National System Operator (NSO) said.
The NSO said electricity supply had already been restored to most areas and was expected to return to normal across the country soon.
During the restoration process, the NSO asked owners of rooftop solar photovoltaic systems to disconnect their installations until further notice to help stabilize the grid.
The NSO said further instructions would be issued to rooftop solar users as the electricity system returned to normal operation.
