Singapore Changi Airport passenger traffic rises 0.4 pct in Q3 to 17.4 mln
SINGAPORE, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's Changi Airport recorded 17.4 million passenger movements in the third quarter of 2026, up 0.4 percent year-on-year, supported by travel demand from Europe, northeast Asia and the southwest Pacific, the airport group said on Monday.

Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Denpasar, Bangkok and Shanghai were the five busiest routes during the quarter, while Tokyo and Melbourne recorded the strongest growth among the ten busiest routes, at 5.2 percent and 5.1 percent, respectively, it said in a statement.
Aircraft movements, including landings and take-offs, increased 2.5 percent to 93,900 during the July-to-September period.
Changi Airport Group's Executive Vice President for Air Hub and Cargo Development Lim Ching Kiat said air travel demand remained resilient despite elevated fuel costs and operational pressures facing airlines.
