5.1-magnitude quake hits south of Fiji Islands

BEIJING, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 jolted south of the Fiji Islands at 2324 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 517.1 km, was initially determined to be at 25.55 degrees south latitude and 179.53 degrees east longitude.
