Illegally built beachfront complex tilts toward the sea in Mexico

Drone footage captured on Oct. 21 shows a beachfront condominium building leaning toward the ocean and at risk of imminent collapse in San Pancho, Nayarit, Mexico. Authorities closed and evacuated the building on Oct. 3 after heavy waves undermined the structure.

The Mexican government says the complex was built illegally and has faced environmental sanctions over unauthorized coastal construction. Officials are undertaking emergency work as residents call for its demolition.
