The plan covers the transfer of more than 4,000 hectares of land and 1,057 residents from Phu Tho to the capital, incorporating the areas into Ba Vi and Yen Xuan communes, according to the report.

The boundary adjustment comprises over 2,500 hectares of Ba Vi National Park and 1,477 hectares of its buffer zone, aiming to align territorial administration with park management, improve forest protection and biodiversity conservation, and strengthen forest fire prevention and control, water resource protection and ecological conservation.

According to the municipal people's committee, more than 2.4 million households, or 94.97 percent of the total consulted across 126 communes and wards, supported the proposal, which will take effect after approval by the National Assembly.
