DAMASCUS, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) - An explosive device went off on Thursday in a neighborhood east of Syria's capital Damascus, state TV reported.

The device exploded in the Adawi neighborhood, with no causalities reported yet.

The blast comes days after an explosive device was detonated in Damascus, causing no casualties, according to state media.
