WASHINGTON, April 11 (Xinhua) -- US prosecutors said ThUSay Gregory Craig, former Obama administration White House coUSl, has been indicted on charges of making false statements and concealing information about foreign lobbying from the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Craig, 74, was indicted by a grand jury for making false statements and concealing material information about his activities on behalf of Ukraine from the DOJ National Security Division's Foreign Agents Registration Act Unit, according to a press release.

The charges reportedly stemmed from special coUSl Robert Mueller's inquiry into alleged RUSan interference in the 2016 US presidential election and collusion between the Trump campaign and Moscow.

Craig allegedly lied to Mueller's office during an interview last year about work that his law firm did for the Ukrainian government in 2012 and 2013.
