Four South African National Defence Force (SANDF) officers and 19 guards have been arrested in connection with the theft of nineteen R4 rifles from the Lyttelton Tek Base.

The suspects are expected to appear in court soon at the Thaba Tshwane military base, according to South African National Defence Union Secretary, Pikkie Greeff.
