France COVID-19 hospital admissions continue to decline

Paris (People's Daily) – COVID-19 fatalities in France have dropped below 100 in a single day. Hospitalizations and in intensive care treatment is also in decline. 

Since the pandemic began, 28,215 people have died of COVID-19 and with an average increase of 83 deaths every 24 hours, according to a press release from French health officials.

Among the fatalities, 17,870 occurred in hospitals, and 10,345 in nursing homes and at other medico-social facilities.

By Thursday evening, COVID-19 hospitalizations were down with 17,583 patients undergoing treatment, 358 fewer than the previous 24 hours. Patients receiving intensive care stood at 1,745, revealing a decline, according to previously released data.  

French health authorities have reported 63,858 novel coronavirus recoveries out of 144,163 confirmed cases. Since Wednesday, 318 people had tested positive for COVID-19.
