Paris (People's Daily) - France's Health and Solidarity Ministry said on Monday that the country had detected 1,097 new cases of the Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 7,730. 

A total of 2,579 patients were hospitalized, and 699 patients are now under intensive care. 

Across the country, 175 people have died of the virus, and 7 percent of them were under 65 years old. So far, 602 patients have been cured.
