Paris (People’s Daily) - France’s Ministry of Health and Solidarity announced 4,376 new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on Monday, bringing the nationwide total to 44,550 with almost half receiving hospital treatment. The country reported 418 fatalities in a 24 hours, with another 5,000 patients in critical condition. 

The nationwide death toll stands at 3,024.

On the same day, a cargo plane carrying 8 million face masks ordered by the French government and partly donated by Chinese companies arrived at Paris-Vatry Airport.

The French government dispatched nearly 100 gendarmeries to help distribute the medical supplies.
