Germany pulls strict Easter virus shutdown amid backlash

German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday reversed a planned strict Easter shutdown, AFP reported, citing the chief of her Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party, amid massive criticism of the government's pandemic management.
