Global COVID-19 cases surpass 1 million

Washington  (People’ Daily)  - According to the data from Johns Hopkins University, by Thursday afternoon, the number of worldwide COVID-19 infections has surpassed one million, reaching 1,002,159 cases.

The number of fatalities has reached 51,485.  So far, 208,949 people have fully recovered from the virus.

The US has 236,339 confirmed cases, 5,648 fatalities, and 8,861 recoveries.

Currently, the top five COVID-19 countries are the US, Italy, Spain, Germany, and China.
