Hurricane Nicholas makes landfall in Texas: US monitor

Hurricane Nicholas made landfall in Texas early Tuesday, according to the National Hurricane Center.
"Nicholas makes landfall along the Texas coast," the NHC wrote in its latest advisory, adding that it landed at around 0530 GMT packing maximum sustained winds of 75 miles per hour (120 kilometers per hour).
