Cairo (People’s Daily) - Iran's health ministry spokesman said Wednesday Iran had 2,987 new infections of COVID-19 and 138 new deaths during the past 24 hours.

The number of confirmed cases has risen to 47,593, with the number of deaths at 3,036. 

15,473 people have recovered, while 3,871 remain in serious and critical condition.
