TEHRAN, July 28 (Xinhua) -- Head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi on Sunday said his country will restart activities at the Arak heavy water nuclear reactor, the ISNA news agency reported.

On Friday, Salehi said that international work on the redesign of the Arak facility has "picked up pace" after a pause.

Under the Iranian 2015 international nuclear deal, Iran agreed to redesign its heavy water reactor.
