Cairo (People’s Daily) -- Israel’s Ministry of Health said the country had 4,247 confirmed novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in an official statement released Sunday.
In 24 hours, health authorities also confirmed 628 new COVID-19 cases and three fatalities, representing the largest single-day jump since the start of the outbreak.
The nationwide death toll stands at 15.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that 3,637 medical professionals had been quarantined with at least 141 who have tested positive for the virus. The figure includes 39 nurses and 32 doctors, according to the Health Ministry.
