Nairobi- Kenya should organize the re-run of presidential election on October 26 With an opposition violent boycott, the re-run should delay until October 28. Clashes broke out between police and protesters, according to a police source, 3 people were killed in protests.

Four conties hit by violence. The protesters in some opposition areas set fires and blocked road in Kisumu where 25 were injured.

Kenya's election commision said polling stations opened in the most of the counties on Thursday but voting had been hampered by "security challenges" in a number of places where voting would be delayed until October 28. According to the original plan, all the polling stations should close at 5 pm on October 26 local time.

Wafula Chebukati, head of the election commission, said areas where voting would be delayed included Homa Hay, Kisumu, Migori and Siaya - all in the opposition stronghold of western Kenya.
