KUWAIT CITY, May 9 (Xinhua) -- Kuwait on Saturday reported 415 new cases of COVID-19 and two more deaths, bringing the total infections in the country to 7,623 and the death toll to 49, the health ministry said in a statement.

Currently, 4,952 patients are receiving treatment, including 95 in ICU, according to the statement.

In addition, the ministry announced the recovery of 156 patients from the coronavirus, raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 2,622.

The Kuwaiti government announced late Friday a full curfew in the country for three weeks to curb the rapid rise in coronavirus cases.
