Bangkok (People' s Daily) - Two new coronavirus cases were confirmed in Laos as of Tuesday afternoon, according to a statement from the country's health ministry. One of the new coronavirus cases is a Lao person who came back from the UK, while the other is an employee of a mining company.

The total number of infections has risen to 14 and all of the patients have been hospitalized. No deaths have been reported.

The Laos government on last Friday restricted traffic and activities to control the pandemic, and banned people from entering or leaving the country until April 19.
