Bangkok, (People's Daily) - The last 50 of the 130 ventilators donated by the Chinese government to the Philippines arrived at the Manila International Airport on August 7.

The Chinese embassy in Manila said in its official Twitter account that it looks forward to the early distribution of the ventilators to various medical institutions to help the Philippines fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Philippines surged to 136,638 after the Department of Health (DOH) reported a record high 6,958 new daily cases on Monday.
